Stolen Childhood Network calls for the dissemination of helplines during the Fiesta del Poncho

The Catamarca Forum of the Stolen Childhood Network Together with the Federal Social Movement Hogares Marentales and/or MonoMarentales Argentina and the Non-Governmental Organization Las Perlas Solidarias, based in Recreo, they submitted a note to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports of Catamarca requesting the dissemination of telephone assistance lines during the Fiesta del Poncho.

The initiative, promoted by Erika Barrionuevo, seeks to promote rights and assistance through the free telephone lines currently provided by the Provincial Government, such as Line 911 (Police Forces), Line 102 (Protection of Children and Adolescents), Line 137 (Family Violence Situation) and Line 145 (advice, assistance and reporting in cases of human trafficking and exploitation).

In the letter addressed to the Minister of Culture, Daiana Carolina Roldán, the organizations expressed that “given the significant influx of public that our province will have during the period in which our Festival Mayor will be held, we believe it is appropriate to reinforce the information related to the prevention of violence, alert the community of its indicators and offer information that allows citizens to identify where to go to make complaints and/or request help in situations of rights violations. Beyond the power that the Portfolio in your charge exercises with respect to the modalities that these suggestions can acquire, we request that, if they are taken into account, the area of ​​Institutional Communication of the Government of the Province be urged to articulate them.”
