UNGRD will demand a fund that allocates $231 billion to La Guajira for alleged corruption

The director of the National Unit for Risk Management (UNGRD), Carlos Carrillo said he will sue the Collective Investment Fund that intends to allocate 231 billion pesos to the municipality of Uribia, La Guajira. According to the official, this resource was imposed irregularly in the last days of the previous administration.

“The Collective Investment Fund is a kind of blank check, delivered irregularly in the last days of the Olmedo López administration. “It is an administrative act that does not meet the necessary requirements, especially when dealing with such a large sum,” said Carrillo.

Furthermore, in addition to the above, he was the mayor of that municipality, Jaime Luis Buitrago, who filed a writ of protection to force the entity to disburse the money, an action described by Carrillo as a “dirty move.”

“We believe that this is an abuse of the tutela action mechanism by the mayor of Uribia. The tutela action seeks to protect the fundamental rights of individuals, and this is not the case,” he added.

It is worth remembering that it was this municipality that was involved in the controversial case of the tank trucks.so, with all this, the Unit called on Mayor Jaime Luis Buitrago to revoke the Investment Fund by mutual agreement.

“These resources are not going to be disbursed while I am here and, in addition, we are going to demand the administrative act itself. It is important to clarify that we have detainees and we are thoroughly reviewing more than 600 billion pesos committed in FIC by the Olmedo López administration,” he concluded. the official.
