For the second consecutive year, Terminal Pacífico Sur Valparaíso (TPS) began the call for its Competitive Funds, in order to strengthen social projects in the city. On this occasion, TPS will finance a total of 5 initiatives, with a maximum amount of $1,500,000 each.

The call is aimed at territorial organizations in Valparaíso such as Neighborhood Councils, Foundations, NGOs, Senior Citizens’ Clubs, Sports Clubs, Housing Committees, among others. One of the requirements to apply for this initiative is that organizations must be linked to the construction or improvement of community spaces, promotion of healthy environments or those projects that are focused on strengthening environmental education and culture; especially considering that the projects are maintained over time.

The execution of the TPS Competitive FundsIt will be supported by the Simón de Cirene Corporation, which will participate in the process in its different stages, such as the training that will be carried out focused on the application of projects, as well as on the review of the admissibility of the applicants and the implementation of the projects. that they are winners. In addition, the organization will be in charge of managing the resources allocated for this call.

Oliver Weinreich, general manager of TPS, He commented that “We are very happy to launch a new edition of the Competitive Funds, because we know that there are many local organizations that need help to make their ideas a reality and that can also learn more about the process, which is possible thanks to the collaboration of the Simón de Cirene Corporation. In this way, we seek to make Valparaíso a better city and also improve the quality of life of the people of Valparaíso.”

For his part, Javier Torrejón, president of the Valparaíso Regional Chamber of Commerce (CRCP), appreciated the initiative and expressed that “It is a source of pride that TPS, one of our partners, can organise a tremendous project such as the Competitive Funds, because it will not only contribute to the city, but it will also be a boost for the region.”

One of the guests at the launch was Mónica Cuevas, president of the “Las Azucenas” Senior Citizens Club, who was one of the winners of the TPS 2023 Competitive Funds. “This is a great opportunity for all the organizations in Buenos Aires to participate, because they accompany you throughout the process and it allowed us to renew our equipment at our headquarters.”he claimed.

Another of the attendees was Evelyn Salas, director of the Buen Puerto Foundation, who expressed that “We are interested in applying in this edition because we are seeking to promote young leadership in Valparaíso, since we believe that together we can move the city forward.”

The application period extends until Wednesday, July 31. Once the reception of the projects is completed, the results will be available on August 23 on the TPS website www.tps.cl, a space where the bases of this year’s Competitive Funds and the necessary documentation to formalize the application are also housed. postulation.
