Pudahuel, Quilicura and Santiago among the most polluted communities in Chile

The Swiss company IQAir revealed the most recent results of its air quality measurement study, showing that The city of Pudahuel is home to 1,000 inhabitants, … They are among the 20 most polluted communes in Chile in 2023.

Specific, Pudahuel is positioned in sixth place, Quilicura in ninth, Talagante on the fourteenth, Santiago in the sixteenth, High Bridge in the seventeenth and The Counts in nineteenth place in the ranking.

The accepted measure of air should not exceed particulate matter (PM) 2.5 and for that the particles must have a diameter of 2.5 micrograms per cubic meter.

The commune of Coyhaique, in the Aysén Region, heads the list reaching a PM32.2, while the commune of Nacimiento, in the Biobío Region it marked PM32.4.

The third place is occupied by the commune of Father the Houses, in the Araucanía Region, reaching PM29.4.
