“The sector of Vice Governor Hebe Casado requested the presence of judicial observers in each of the schools designated by the General Directorate of Schools, as well as in the voting centers for the elections of June 30,” reads the statement that was released by her sector.

They also stressed that “this request arises after the rejection of the Federal Proposal list, led by Gabriel Pradines to have observers in all establishments in the province”.

Therefore, the Yellow List communication continues, “Casado and his team denounce the lack of transparency on the part of Pradines’ list, which also rejected the proposal to entrust the transfer of the ballot boxes and the final scrutiny to a company specialized in electoral matters (…) The presence of observers is essential to guarantee the internal electoral process of the PRO.”

In a tweet published this Thursday, the pulmonologist explained: “I want an observer in each school, I want them to guarantee the transparency of the election. I hope that the judge decides for an observer in each school. Due to the lack of official email, Justice “ordered electoral observers.”

Hebe Casado requested observers at all polling stations. In addition to schools, the election will be held at party centers.

Sources from the new makeup of the PRO Electoral Board argued that for budgetary reasons there will be 4 observers and the ballots will be in black and white.

According to what they stated, the election with the presentation of observers in all schools and the transfer of ballot boxes by Correo Argentino implied an expense of $36 million. At the same time, they highlighted that they have the endorsement of the PRO auditor and the national Electoral Board.

Suspicions about the distribution of DGE schools

Pradines was outraged by the distribution of schools in which the internal election will be carried out and denounced that there are districts in which there is a dependency, especially for large departments “and this complicates the participation of members, especially in places where we are strong.”

Pradines specifically referred to the case of Uspallata: “We were not given the school in Uspallata, where one of our candidates is from. This situation raises many doubts for us.“.

The vote will be held in schools, as well as in party centers, the organization clarified.

Regarding the participation of observers, he stressed: “We were the first to ask for them and request transparency in these elections.”

Crossed accusations within the PRO

The PRO party elections were marked by crossed complaints regarding the legitimacy of the endorsements of the lists that compete to retain the leadership of the party. From both sectors, the veracity of the members’ signatures was questioned, a necessary requirement to continue in the race.

In the middle, the Federal Justice intervened, there were several hearings in which the PRO auditor, Darío Nieto, participated and even the previous Electoral Board was removed, as part of everything that happened in a month before reaching the polls this Sunday. .
