In an alleged act of violence Jesús Fernando Tejada, one of the official couples of the Bambuco Festival, is involved during a rehearsal of the San Juan Huilense dance with one of the candidates for the miss pageant Neiva, as evidenced in a video that went viral through social networks.
The assault generated controversy and rejection, and even the only female councilor of Neiva, Lourdes Mateus, described the dancer’s behavior as violent. Jesús Tejada against María de Mar Rodríguez, who was a candidate for the Miss Neiva 2024 pageant.
“Now it turns out that within the framework of the preparation of candidates for the different Bambuco competitions there is a huge focus of violence. “The truth I feel like I’m being persecuted because of how well things have gone for me so far. I never disrespected the candidate, she always went to rehearsals with her mother. As coach of San Juan I have been very competent and I have been demanding to achieve victories. I had the opportunity to rehearse the candidate until February and in the contest that just ended she danced with another couple. It is worrying, because I see that they are introducing a political issue into the culture,” said dancer Tejada Bonilla.
“If at any time there was any mistreatment of the candidate, I apologize not only to her but to all the women who identify with this video. The truth is, we as Sanjuanero coaches live under extreme stress because we want our candidates to represent their company, their neighborhood, their department, their municipality well,” he added. the teacher Jesús Fernando Tejada.
Given this controversial video, Blu Radio also consulted with the Secretary of Women, Children and Adolescents of Neiva, Clara Eugenia Peña Perdomo, who considered that, in her analysis as an official, there was indeed violence and abuse of the partner. Tejada Bonilla with the candidate.
