Located in the foothills of the Western mountain range, El Carmen de Atrato, Chocó, is a municipality with great natural and ethnic wealth. With an average temperature of 19°C, its lush mountains and crystal-clear waters make it an ideal destination for nature tourism, especially standing out for bird watching such as the Golden Tanager, a species endemic to the region.

For the first time, Teleantioquia’s live programming reaches a municipality in this region. Here’s how you can schedule:

3:00 pm – The Region Feels
A program that promotes the culture, music and traditions of the Antioquia region, highlighting its cultural and folkloric diversity.

5:00 pm – In the Park
A conversation with the mayor of El Carmen de Atrato about his Development Plan and the projects that will benefit the community.

7:30 pm – Serenade
The night is decorated with the music of Serenata in its new schedule. Bambucos, hallways and songs of yesteryear will delight the inhabitants of El Carmen de Atrato. Guest artists: Duet Bossa from Tunja, Boyacá; Duet Colombian Voices from Medellín; and the Atrato Duet representing this municipality of Chocó.

This visit is also an opportunity to celebrate the 150th anniversary of El Carmen de Atrato. In a festive atmosphere, the municipality commemorates its rich history and culture with civic and cultural events, including flag raisings, parades and musical performances.
