On the eve of Tree Daywhich is celebrated in Mexico every June 28, the Directorate of Ecological Management and Waste Management The City Council of the capital invited people from Potosí to visit one of the municipal nurseries and adopt a tree or plant.
Among the species available for donation are:

- Poplar
- Lollipops
- Oak
- Yucca
- Jacaranda
- Mesquite
- Huizache
These species, the agency detailed, They are the most suitable and do not require much care in their care.but municipal staff presume that up to 30 thousand units of between 25 and 30 different species are produced in the nurseries, all of them suitable.

According to data from Ecological Management and Waste Management, municipal nurseries have demonstrated self-sustainability by producing more than two thousand new plants per month, which has contributed significantly to reforestation programs; Likewise, they are frequently received.

At the same time, staff from the nurseries and even from the Coordination of Parks and GardensThey advise those interested in adopting a tree so that they can choose the one that best adapts to both the climate and the soil of the area of the city where they plan to plant it, as well as the correct way to do so.
It was announced that the doors of the nurseries are open to anyone interested, and to adopt a tree or plant you can go to the best known of them, located in the “Colored House” on the way to the San José dam; To request a donation of more than five trees, a document must be filled out.

Currently, as already announced, Gestión Ecológica maintains a recycling campaign for books, notebooks, paper and cardboard, and in exchange for this donation a plant is delivered.
