He Potosi Business Counciltogether with business chambers and private organizations, present a position against the statements made by the President of the Business Coordinating Council (CCE), Francisco Cervanteswho expressed the support of the business community for the judicial reforms proposals during the meeting held with the President-Elect, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.

They stressed in their statement that they do not share the decision to support the constitutional reforms as they are presented before the Legislative Branch. They consider that these reforms put at risk the autonomy of crucial organizations such as the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Attention of Electoral Crimes (FEPADE), the National Transparency Institute (INAI), the National Electoral Institute (INE) and the Supreme Court of Justice.

Likewise, regarding the proposal to strengthen the National Army through the integration of the National Guardincorporating functions corresponding to federal, state and municipal police forces, the Council does not consider this approach adequate, arguing that it is not the correct way to strengthen this institution.

They also call on elected federal deputies to consider the implications of these reforms, urging them to avoid decisions that could compromise the social and economic stability of the country and underline the importance of improving the efficiency of the federal entities, always preserving and strengthening the checks and balances that guarantee the separation of powers and transparent governance.

Finally, they reaffirmed their commitment to building a more just and equitable country, where reforms are carried out through consensus and respect for fundamental democratic institutions.
