The informal currency market in Cuba has shown some changes in the last 24 hours, highlighting a drop in the price of the US dollar. As every morning, Directorio Cubano presents you with a detailed update of the exchange rates.
According to data shared by the El Toque platform, in the last 24 hours the US dollar (USD) has experienced a new drop in its price in Cuba’s informal currency market.
However, the other reference currencies maintain their values from the previous day in the purchase and sale announcements on social networks, which are processed by Toque.
We must remember that these exchange rates represent an approximation of the average values of currencies in Cuba, based on offers published on social networks. Prices may vary in different locations in the country, influenced by the specific supply and demand of each region. In addition to other factors such as the seller’s urgency, the amount offered, the condition of the bills and their denomination, among other factors. In short, in a deregulated market we cannot speak of a single exchange rate, since in each territory and specific circumstance it can vary.
