The National Beekeeping met in Río Negro

The meeting took place at the Cipolletti Cultural Center, which brought together more than 600 provincial beekeeping leaders, researchers and professionals in the sector from all over the country to exchange knowledge, share experiences and promote the development of beekeeping at the provincial and national level.

In a historic event for the Province, which served as host, 19 provinces participated in the technical panels, Expo and business rounds.

The meeting was organized in coordination by the CFI (Federal Investment Council) and the Government of Rio Negro through the Ministry of Economic and Productive Development.

“For the CFI, beekeeping is a very important vector of sustainable development, because it is a federal activity that generates local development, protects the environment and allows the creation of products with enormous added value,” said CFI Project Director Teresa Oyhamburu.

And he added “the first meeting was in Chaco and this edition was held in Río Negro, a very interesting province to work on the particularities of the sector because it is committed to innovation, the diversification of its diversified productive matrix and sustainability.”

It is worth highlighting the participation of more than 120 producers from all areas of the Province of Rio Negro, who were able to participate with the support of CFI and the provincial Agriculture Secretariat.

For his part, the Minister of Economic and Productive Development Carlos Banacloy, at the closing of the meeting, stated: “we must once again feel proud of producing, of valuing producers and incorporating new generations. And in that sense, beekeeping is a sector that has enormous opportunities, not only for the production of honey, which is a tiny part of the chain, but also for all the other sub-products, the added value, the incorporation of new markets. , the promotion of domestic consumption and the incorporation of technology.”

On Tuesday, the session of the Federal Beekeeping Council was held for more than four hours, as well as the business round that brought together nine buyers from different sectors and sellers from all over the country with enormous success.

The next objective is to advance in the design of a support plan for Beekeeping at the federal level and tailored to the needs of each province, which focuses on technological and organizational innovation, and on the development of new products and markets for the beekeeping production in the Argentine provinces.

The Vice Governor of the Province of Rio Negro, Professor Pedro Pesatti, the Secretary of Government Paul Frachia of the Municipality of Cipolletti, Marcelo Pérez, National Beekeeping Coordinator of the CFI, and Alexis Rodríguez, Beekeeping Director of the National Bioeconomy Secretariat, participated in the meeting.
