The president says that, in a dialogue with spokesmen from the Attorney General’s Office, Police, CTI and others, he will report how many violent deaths there have been this year
One of the dialogues with which the mayor of Riohacha, Genaro Redondo Choles, It seeks to get closer to the community, interact to obtain feedback and in this way get closer to the people by knowing what their desires consist of and how trust can be generated between the institutions and the community.
The mayor revealed that the security meeting could include journalists, the Prosecutor’s Office, Gaula, Sijín, the Army and each of the institutions that have to do with security, both in the urban and rural areas, in such a way that it is required the presence of transits from both Riohacha and the department.
A piece of peace for the media
“We are going to give a report to the media of all the violent deaths that have occurred using firearms and other elements throughout the jurisdiction of the district of Riohacha and today I can tell you that more than 80 percent of the victims have judicial records, some with current arrests, others with recent release from prison and who would have belonged to the illegal gangs that are operating in La Guajira“, the president expressed.
The mayor also indicated that today in Riohacha there are more than 150 uniformed officers on the streets carrying out interventions, not only by the Police, but also with the accompaniment of the Army and Migration Colombia and that is why security is already being restored in a vast rural area of Riohacha.
The doctor and mayor of the capital maintains that after the armed conflict that occurred between illegal gangs, today it is completely under control and there are more than 60 men belonging to the Army who are in the area safeguarding the tranquility and the lives of the citizens of Tomarrazon, Juan and a Half and each of the trails located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
