The capture of Salomon Fernandez Torres, alias ‘Salomon’, main leader of the Aragua Train in Bogotarepresents a significant advance in the fight against this criminal organization. Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán said that this capture brings to more than 40 direct actions against leaders, coordinators and criminals of this structure.

Thanks to the coordinated work of the Gaula Élite, the Intelligence Directorate of the National Police, the Bogota Police and the Attorney General’s Office, the capture of alias ‘Salomón’ was achieved; who, in addition to being the main leader of the Tren de Aragua, also served as the organization’s financier and dedicated himself to committing acts of violence and intimidation in the south of the city.

“This arrest is the result of a series of attacks we have carried out against the Aragua Train in Bogotá since April, and with it we have completed more than 40 direct attacks on leaders, coordinators and criminals of this structure,” said the mayor of Bogotá.

It should be noted that the captured man was the trusted man of the leaders alias ‘Niño Guerrero’ and ‘Giovanny’. In this regard, Mayor Galán added: “We are making progress in weakening the criminal structures in Bogotá. Our next objective is to capture alias ‘Niño Guerrero’ and alias ‘Giovanny’, the leaders of this transnational criminal structure.”
