Lluc Parera (Arenys de Munt, 1994) has become the third signing of Córdoba Futsal Patrimonio de la Humanidad for the 24-25 season. The Catalan has thus joined Pablo del Moral and the Brazilian Gui Santos to form part of the First Division futsal team.

The Catalan winger, who has signed for one season and another optional, has arrived from Noia Portus Apóstoli, where he ended up serving as captain after a five-year spell. The new Cordoban player also played in the top category defending the colours of Industria Santa Coloma (2011-2015) and Viña Albali Valdepeñas (2018-2019). He also played for teams such as FSD Puertollano, Melilla FS, Nantes Bela Futsal and Bisontes de Castellón.

Lluc looks for a pass.

Santoro: “An all-rounder that stands out for its versatility”

Santoro, the green and white coach, has been one of his great supporters, since he coincided with Lluc during his time at the A Coruña club. The Caliphate coach defines the new member of his squad as “an all-rounder who stands out for his versatility in adapting to different roles. He is one of the players in the league with the greatest offensive laterality, being able to play as a wing in both profiles. He has, in addition to great knowledge of the category, an enormous competitive gene, which will raise the level of the group technically-tactically.”

In his first words as a Cordobesista, Lluc said that “this new stage is a change both professionally and in terms of sport. I hope to fit in well in a club that, from what I know, stands out for its humility and seriousness. All that remains is to start working and contribute my grain of sand to achieve the objectives.”

A delayed start due to the World Cup

The league must be remembered that it will not begin in the First Division at least until next October 15 due to the World Cup dispute in Uzbekistan, which will cause a delay in its start of at least 40 days with respect to the 23-24 campaign. Well then it started last September 5th.

Córdoba Futsal currently has ten confirmed players in its squad. Seven will continue as of today, specifically the goalkeepers Fabio and Víctor, the Paraguayans Damián Mareco (center back) and Arnaldo Báez (right wing), the Ukrainian center back Mykytiuk and the Brazilians Pulinho (wing) and Kaué Pereira (center back). The signings have been the center back Pablo del Moral (ex-Jaén Paraíso Interior), the Brazilian left winger Gui Santos (ex-MNK Square from Croatia) and the Catalan winger Lluc Parera (ex-Noia).

Everything indicates that left-handed wing Murilo Duarte will also arrive in Córdoba. Left-handed center Juanan Moraleja could also come on loan from Jimbee Cartagena, injured since last December but who will be ready to play when the league returns in October.

The new technical team

The previous assistant coach, the Argentine Ema Santoro, will be the coach. Ferran Plana will become the assistant in charge. Staying in the team will once again be the challenge for Córdoba Futsal.
