He National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued a yellow meteorological alert for extreme cold and wind for Buenos Aires and more than 35 localities in ArgentinaThe agency reported that during the day on Friday, June 28, storms are expected to reach speeds of up to 70 km/h and temperatures between -7 and 0 degrees.

According to the SMN, the weather alert applies to the provinces of San Luis, Buenos Aires, Chubut, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego and Malvinas Islands. On the coast of Buenos Aires, it is expected to be affected by winds from the south, with speeds between 30 and 50 km/h and gusts that can reach 70 km/h.

The affected localities are Adolfo Gonzales Chaves, Centro de Lobería, North of Coronel Dorrego, North of Necochea, North of San Cayetano, North of Tres Arroyos, Ayacucho, Balcarce, General Guido, Maipú, North West of General Juan Madariaga, North West of Mar Chiquita , West of General Pueyrredón, Pinamar, Southeast of General Juan Madariaga and Villa Gesell.

In the case of extreme temperatures, The Falkland Islands have a minimum temperature of -5° in its extension, as in Ushuaia, province of Tierra del Fuego, in the case of Río Grande and Tolhuin, however, it will reach -9 degrees. Another affected region will be the province of Santa Cruz, where the minimum will be around -10° for El Calafate and Río Turbio; in the case of Perito Moreno it is -9° and in Puerto Deseado it is -3°.
