With security operations, the Police took over several neighborhoods in Santa Marta

The Santa Marta Metropolitan Police carried out a Security Caravan in the El Pando, María Eugenia, San Pablo and Taganga neighborhoods. This day was led by Commander Jorge Andrés Bernal Granada. Various police specialties also participated in this initiative, including Criminal Investigation, Transit and Transportation Section, Unipol, Carabineros, Gaula and the Children and Adolescents Police, with the aim of carrying out effective territorial control.

The caravan implemented activities such as loudspeakers with security recommendations and constant patrols. During the day, people and vehicles were searched, intensifying the searches and applying differential strategies to strengthen the bonds of friendship with the community and improve the security of citizens.

The Police also noted that the participation of community leaders was key in this event, allowing direct dialogue with the Metropolitan Commander to create and implement strategies that ensure better and more timely service to citizens.

«With this loudspeaker activity, beacons on and sirens in these sectors that we are reaching today, we tell the community that there will be no room for crime. We continue to work hard for the tranquility and citizen security of the Samarians,” declared Colonel Jorge Andrés Bernal Granada, Commander of the Santa Marta Metropolitan Police.

With these actions, the Santa Marta Metropolitan Police aims to guarantee a safe environment for all residents of the city of Santa Marta, reinforcing its presence in the neighborhoods and collaborating closely with the community.
