Martha Lucía Martínez participated in the conversations representing Trinidad and Tobago, and for Santiago de Cuba, Oleibis Estrada, director of Development, and Coralis Rodríguez, head of the department of Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and International Cooperation.

Martha Lucía Martínez told Prensa Latina that at ExpoCaribe they promote the industry and manufacturing of Trinidad and Tobago, especially for the eastern provinces, with preference to the Beverage and food sectors, as well as Packaging and packaging.

He also mentioned that one of the most advanced projects with Santiago de Cuba is the line of raw materials and recycled products, expecting as a result, the shipment of these items to the Caribbean market from the eastern Cuban province.

Oleibis Estrada explained to Prensa Latina that the objective of the Santiago de Cuba Development Directorate stand at ExpoCaribe 2024 is to seek opportunities for state and non-state economic actors, increase commercial traffic through the local port, as well as motivate foreign investment to finance local development projects.

Estrada said that with Trinidad and Tobago the greatest interest is to provide continuity until common interests are realized, which will strengthen commercial ties, friendship and bilateral cooperation.
