During the training for the staff of the El Galpón delegation, carried out by the director of Inspections, Antonieta Friaswhich is part of the Consumer Protection Secretariat, discussed in depth the regulations that protect the rights of consumers during inspections and the methodology for drawing up reports of verification and infringement. The training was carried out in order to strengthen the control procedures and ensure their compliance in the municipality.
At the training, which was attended by the Consumer Protection delegate of that municipality, Christian Quiquinto Emphasis was placed on control due to the lack of price display in commercial premises, the charging of extra fees for quick payments or similar, the difference in prices between cash, debit card, credit in one installment and transfers. Provincial Law 7,800 was also analyzed, which requires the availability of a standardized Complaints Book with its respective signage, as well as waiting times in lines, among others.
The implementation of an information campaign on two free procedures was also planned: the granting of administrative and judicial power records, so that consumers do not incur notary fees, and the approval process of the complaints book in the delegation, with which merchants will only have to take the book to the office for this purpose.
Consumers may request inspections, legal advice at the El Galpón branch, preparation of complaints and free defense at the conciliation hearing by the Delegate and his team, composed of: Celeste Beltran and Jorge AresMonday to Friday in the Municipality of El Galpón, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
