Academics and students will be present at the Zicosur International Book Fair taking place in Antofagasta.
During the traditional Zicosur International Book Fair (Filzic) that takes place in Antofagasta from Wednesday, June 26 to next Sunday, July 7, the Universidad Católica del Norte (UCN) is actively participating in a series of activities for the community.
Pamela Ossa Rivera, head of the Department of Cultural Outreach of the General Directorate of Community Engagement at UCN, extended the invitation to the workshops, talks and presentations in which representatives of the University will participate.
The current version has more than 6 thousand square meters, more than 230 exhibitors and has a planetary dome and three stages, called “Main Stage”, “Rincón de los Sueños” and “Literary Café”.
Likewise, it includes the presence of writers such as Jorge Baradit, Pablo Mackenna, Hernán Rivera Letelier, Lily del Pilar and Guillermo Parvex, among others.
ACTIVITIES
The following are the activities with the participation of UCN academics and students that appear in the official program:
- Friday, June 28: “Body, Gender and Work. Models to understand power relations” (academic Jimena Silva), at 4:00 p.m. at the Literary Café; and “Chronology of Nortino Cinema” (academic Mauricio Matus), at 5:00 p.m. on the “Rincón de los Sueños” stage.
- Sunday, June 30: “Impact of Violence in Dating” (academic Anna Wlodarczyk), at 5:00 p.m. at the Literary Café.
- Monday, July 1: “Fanzine Workshop” (led by Literature students from the Basic Education Pedagogy with Specialization program), at 11:00 a.m. at the Literary Café.
- Wednesday, July 3: “Early Childhood Education Workshops” (academic Viviana Pérez together with students of the Early Childhood Education Pedagogy degree with a mention in Emotional and Cognitive Development), at 11:00 a.m. on the stage of the Café Literario.
