The complex had been closed since Wednesday 26th.

The reopening of the Río Jeinimeni Border Crossing began at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 28. It had been closed on the Santa Cruz province side, Argentina, since Wednesday, June 26, due to a lack of heating gas.

This was reported by the regional presidential delegate of Aysén, Rodrigo Araya, and the provincial presidential delegate of General Carrera, Cristóbal Barceló, who reported that the problem in the trans-Andean territory was resolved.

“The problem in Argentina that this temporary closure had meant was resolved and in order to have immediate connectivity, starting this Friday the passage will reopen at 6 p.m. From then on you can circulate during normal operating hours,” said Barceló.
