In the municipalities of Chiriguaná, Pailitas and San Martín, in Cesar, the direction of Carabineros and Environmental Protection through the Special Hydrocarbon Operations Group (GOES-H), hand in hand with prevention and control inspectors of the company takeover ZENIT, rThey carried out hydrocarbon analysis and control operations after receiving an alert about the reopening of flows at various points in the Colorado Wells.
When the authorities arrive at the site Two men were captured, 12,300 Gl of gasoline and 4 thousand Gl of diesel were recovered, 3 illicit valves were neutralized, a tanker vehicle and a truck were immobilized, and 4 “dice” type containers were seized.. The elements were made available to the Attorney General’s Office, as well as those captured to answer for the crime of receiving hydrocarbons.
According to the director of Carabineros and Environmental Protection, Brigadier General William Castaño Ramos, so far in 2024 throughout the national territory 50 people have been arrested for the crime of stealing hydrocarbonsof which 19 have occurred in Cesar. He also reported that 83,669 gallons of hydrocarbons have been recovered and 40 vehicles involved in these events have been immobilized.
