He has been formalized twice for contempt. This case is added to the one that occurred on June 14 in Coyhaique.
The Local Prosecutor’s Office of Aysén and Cisnes formalized an investigation for the crime of contempt against a 40-year-old defendant who on Sunday, June 23, around 05:00, violated the prohibition issued by the Family Court of Puerto Aysén that prevented him from going to the home of his 32-year-old ex-partner, within the framework of an investigation for crimes associated with domestic violence.
Since Wednesday 5th, the Family Court had decreed the precautionary measure that completely prohibited him from approaching the victim, her home, work, studies or any other place where she usually goes, due to acts of domestic violence reported at the beginning of June of this year.
However, on Monday the 10th, the accused was formalized by the Prosecutor’s Office as the author of the crimes of contempt, less serious injuries in the context of domestic violence and trespassing, where, after a request from the Prosecutor’s Office, he was also subject to the precautionary measure of prohibition of approaching the victim.
Then, on Sunday the 23rd, the accused once again failed to comply with the judicial resolution, after going to the victim’s home during the early hours of the morning, for which he was again formalized by the Prosecutor’s Office, again for contempt.

Aysén’s assistant lawyer, José Luis Palominos, who carried out the formalization, explained that the arrest of the accused was carried out by Carabineros officials from the Second Police Station for the crime of contempt in the context of domestic violence.
“The Public Prosecutor’s Office has exposed pending records for crimes of a similar nature against the same victim, also in the context of domestic violence,” said Palominos.
Given this scenario, the lawyer added that the Prosecutor’s Office requested the precautionary measure of preventive detention against the accused, accumulating the antecedents already indicated, and said precautionary measure was decreed by the Guarantee Court of Puerto Aysén.
José Luis Palominos explained that a 45-day investigation period had been set to carry out investigations into the crimes for which the accused was charged.

It should be remembered that the Coyhaique Local Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation against a 43-year-old defendant also for the crime of contempt in the context of domestic violence and damages, who was placed in preventive detention.
The events occurred in the early hours of Friday, June 14, in Coyhaique, where the accused was under a precautionary measure that completely prohibited him from approaching the victim, her home, work, studies or any other place where she usually goes.
