The National Meteorological Service (SMN) announced this Friday that the province of Jujuy is under yellow alert for extreme cold and very low temperatures are expected over the weekend.

El Carmen, Ledesma, Palpalá, San Antonio, San Pedro, Santa Bárbara, Valle Grande, the lower area of Doctor Manuel Belgrano and the lower area of Tilcara, are the affected localities.
For San Salvador de Jujuy, the forecast says that this Saturday, the lowest temperature will be 3º, although the maximum will reach 13º. A similar situation is expected for the branch area. Sunday is expected to be the coldest day of the month with a minimum of 0º and a maximum of 15º.
