In Santa Marta, an 18-year-old young man, identified as Reiner José Suárez is in critical condition after receiving a strong electric shock when he was handling his cell phone. which was plugged into a power outlet. The lightning struck the electrical grid of his home.

According to close sources, The volley fell near Suárez’s house and he ended up badly injured. The incident took place when his mother was returning from work. Upon hearing her arrive, the young man woke up to greet her and ask for something to eat.
While waiting, he decided to use his mobile phone that was connected to the charger. It was at that moment that lightning struck nearby, causing a roar that shook the area and caused the electric shock that affected the adult.
Reiner was immediately transferred to the Julio Méndez Barreneche Hospital, where he remains in critical condition in the ICU.
