This Saturday the recycling ecopoint continues at the supermarket on Av. Paraguay 1450 – News

The Municipality of Salta held, this morning, the first day of the “Recycling Ecopoint” in the supermarket located at Av. Paraguay 1450.

The objective is to collect waste to be reused or recycled and to be able to introduce it to the circular economy, thus preventing it from being thrown on public roads.

Ramiro Ragna, Director General of Environmental Education, explained that: “We want the community in general to understand that all types of waste have a value; and that is why it is very important to recycle or reuse.”

The activity will continue tomorrow, Saturday, June 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at this ecopoint located on Chango Más beach.

“Neighbors who bring three types of waste will receive a native tree as a gift to plant on their sidewalks or in green spaces in the city,” the official added.

For her part, Mónica Zannier, president of the CEOS SOL foundation, expressed “It is a shame that waste ends up buried or thrown on public roads because this generates environmental pollution and people’s health; That is why we work every day to raise awareness regarding recycling.”

This activity is carried out jointly by the Municipality of Salta, the Ceos Sol Foundation and the Compañía de Cervecerías Unidas (CCU).

ReCCUpero has managed to add value to more than 4 thousand tons of recyclable material thanks to the work that has been carried out in large events together with cooperatives and municipalities.
