He assured that there was no alcohol in the car, that They were not takingand that the music was at a moderate volume to allow for conversation.
He explained that, upon entering Las Brisas road, he signaled to the right and, already on a straight road, he could have been driving at 90-100 kilometers per hour, although he was not paying attention to the tachometer.I honestly don’t remember how I lost control or how the accident happened, but I remember that I was approaching the curve; all I remember is that I woke up on the pavement. and I don’t understand what happened,” he added.
Upon regaining consciousness, Venturino realized the magnitude of the tragedy.I couldn’t believe that Agustina and Trinidad had passed away, and I still find it unfair… Honestly, I did not expect something like what happened on March 31 to happen, a date that will mark me forever and the families of Agustina and Trinidad forever,” he confessed.
The mea culpa of the accused
The defendant later expressed his regret for the pain caused to the families of the victims.I feel so bad for having caused this to Agustina and Trinidad’s family, just as I indicated in the forgiveness letter I sent. I do not expect to be forgiven, I intend to assume the consequences of my act, I do not intend to deny the situation, I just hope that Agustina and Trinidad’s family find some kind of comfort or closure with this,” she said.
Finally, José Venturino expressed a feeling of deep guilt. “I am on medication and I truly confess that I wish I had died in the accident, because I find it totally unfair that I am here and I have no way of saying how much I regret it,” he concluded.
