The Jerónimo de la Gente award will be presented on Friday, July 5, on the eve of La Docta’s anniversary and within the framework of the 2024 Jerónimo Awards that the Municipality of Córdoba awards each year to the most outstanding people and organizations in the city in the last year.

The nominees

Masamano is a gourmet bakery created in 2021 that provides work mainly to people with Down syndrome, promoted by the Empate Foundation. One of its star products is a variety of high-quality alfajores that can be purchased through social media.

Fundación Faros is an integrative space that emerged in 2003 that accompanies the development of girls, boys and young people with motor and cognitive disabilities of different degrees. It works as a therapeutic educational service and also supports families from an interdisciplinary approach.

Lupus Argentina has been working since 2012 to support people diagnosed with Lupus, an autoimmune disease with no cure that mainly affects women between 15 and 55 years old. In turn, the NGO is responsible for the support of family members and seeks to raise awareness about the complexities of life with lupus.

La Casita Trans is a civil association that supports the processes of identity construction and expression of trans and non-binary people throughout their lives. It has an interdisciplinary team, training, meetings and permanent conversations.

Fuerza Mayor is a musical collective of percussionists between 60 and 88 years old who love music and share their art in different shows. Far from the stereotype of inactive older adults, the “band” was formed in 2015 as an expression of life and is made up almost entirely of women.
