I am the boy who will tell you all the latest news in film and television in 3DJuegos. I am passionate about science fiction, fantasy, superheroes and movie curiosities, those little behind-the-scenes stories of the directors and actors we have been following since we were little. My favorite saga? Star Trek. My favorite character? Superman, although lately a little more John Wick. One last thing, I promise not to bore you too much in my topics. LinkedIn

According to the latest data shared by Netflix, The Mother is the service’s eighth most-viewed English-language film of all time. A blockbuster action movie hit that can be explained by its protagonist, Jennifer Lopez. Now, the platform seeks to repeat the move by changing the demons from the protagonist’s past to a science fiction world in Atlaswhich releases a new trailer.

We have already spoken to you on more than one occasion before about Atlas. The film, as can be seen in this new and definitive preview of its footage, takes us to fight for the future of civilization on an alien planet where our protagonist has ended up. Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez), a brilliant but unfriendly data analyst who doesn’t trust artificial intelligence, must hunt down a rogue robot (Simu Liu) with whom she shares a past. “But when things go wrong, Your only hope to save humanity from the clutches of AI will be… to trust it.“, they add from Netflix in a statement.

Fighting for humanity a la Titanfall

Thus, viewers can expect a story with a lot of rhythm, some drama and small doses of humor to defuse the situation where Jennifer Lopez walks on the surface of a distant world in a Titanfall-style exosuit. Strong emotions seem guaranteed, and with a big star as the visible face it seems evident that Netflix has a great hit about to premiere.

Atlas is directed by Brad Peyton from a script by Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite, with Sterling K. Brown and Mark Strong in the cast in addition to the aforementioned Jennifer Lopez and Simu Liu. It launches on Netflix on May 24. Meanwhile, you can watch the platform’s latest science fiction premiere, Rebel Moon: Part 2 – The Warrior Who Leaves Marks, of which you have a review.
