Five years have passed since Steve Rogers gave his precious shield to Sam Wilson, Falcon, at the end of ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Or what is the same, the moment when Chris Evans delegated all his responsibility to Anthony Mackie with the aim of Kevin Feige and company continuing to exploit the figure of ‘Cap’.
Well, after a long time of waiting, Empire magazine has published the first image of Mackie with the new Captain America outfit on the occasion of ‘Captain America: Brave New World’, the sequel to the Disney+ series ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’.
As we can see in the image, The suit does not present too many changes compared to the one worn by Steve Rogersand it is a mix between this and Falcon’s.
Directed by Julius Onah (‘The Cloverfield Paradox’), it also features Harrison Ford, Sebastian Stan, Liv Tyler (‘Armageddon’), Shira Haas (‘Unorthodox’), Rosa Salazar (‘Alita: Battle Angel’) ) and Tim Blake Nelson (‘Minority Report). It is scheduled to arrive in Spanish theaters on February 14.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ enrolls in phase 5 of the UCM, to which already released titles such as ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ or ‘Secret Invasion’ belong, but also others still pending. This is the case of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ (July 25, 2024)‘Thunderbolts’ (May 2, 2025) and ‘Blade’, as well as the television series ‘Agatha: The Darkhold Diaries, ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ and ‘Ironheart’.
The goal is for several of the characters from the productions mentioned above to participate in the new installments of ‘Avengers’: ‘The Kang Dynasty’ and ‘Secret Wars’. Some feature films that are expected throughout 2026 and 2027, once Phase 6 has been started by ‘The Fantastic Four’ on July 25, 2025.
