A new horror film is on the way, and this time it will explore an intriguing version of the story of Jesus in his youth. Under the title The Carpenter’s Son (the translation would be The carpenter’s son), the feature film has confirmed its main cast and the creative team behind the cameras.

Nicolas Cageknown for his versatility and his penchant for risky projects, will lead the cast of this production. cage has been exploring a wide range of roles at a time when remakes and sequels dominate the film industry. The official synopsis of the film presents a plot that is both enigmatic and dark: “The Carpenter’s Son tells the dark story of a hidden family in Roman Egypt. The son, known only as ‘the Boy’, is confronted by another mysterious boy and rebels against his guardian, the Carpenter, discovering innate powers and a destiny beyond his understanding. As he develops his own power, the Child and his family become the target of horrors, both natural and divine.

As for the behind-the-scenes team, the film will be written and directed by the filmmaker Lofty Nathanwho previously worked at Harkaa project that explores the responsibilities of a young man after the death of his father. Nathan shared that he was inspired by the apocryphal gospel of Thomas’ infancy for the script of The Carpenter’s Son. This text, dating from the 2nd century AD, offers a unique perspective on Jesus’ youth.
