Updating the history of Jurassic World 4 advances the return to the roots of jurassic park by Steven Spielberg

Jurassic World 4 receives a new story update that teases a return to Jurassic Park. After two sequels to Steven Spielberg’s hit 1993 classic, the hit dinosaur franchise got a soft reboot in 2015, introducing audiences to new characters and an expanded premise. Jurassic World 4 now moving forward, with Scarlett Johansson starring alongside Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend and Jonathan Bailey, among others, with Gareth Edwards directing what has been described as another soft reboot of the franchise.

Now, a new report from Variety reveals that Jurassic World 4 will have a premise similar to that of jurassic park. The new film has been promoted as “a completely new take that launches a new Jurassic era, following three adults and three teenagers who become trapped on the Island.” The report also notes that the film has been called both Jurassic World 4 and Jurassic City, suggesting that a title change could be on the way. The upcoming sequel will now also film in Thailand, Malta and the United Kingdom.

Jurassic World: Dominion

Jurassic World 4 need to go back to basics after Dominion

Although the three films of Jurassic World They were very commercially successful, the most recent installment of the franchise ended up being the worst received film in the franchise by critics. The criticisms of Jurassic World Dominion They took issue with the film’s unbalanced story and surprising lack of exploration of the premise established at the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. That movie ends with the dinosaurs finally coming out into the world, setting up an adventure that lives up to the movie’s title.

Jurassic World Dominion, however, doesn’t seem all that interested in exploring what it would mean if dinosaurs and humans were actually forced to live side by side. For this and other reasons, the film earned a mediocre 29% on Rotten Tomatoes. Besides simply needing a course correction after the previous film, the ending of Jurassic World Dominion It also leaves little room for the franchise to grow, meaning returning to a more contained story could be the right move.

This back-to-basics approach makes sense given that the original film’s writer David Koepp returns to pen the script for Jurassic World 4. Combined with a top-notch cast and Edwards’ directing skills, the upcoming film has the potential to tell an exciting and intense story on a smaller scale. While individual opinions will vary, the jurassic park original is still considered the best entry in the franchise, and Jurassic World 4 now he appears poised to recapture some of that magic.
