David Corenswet will play Clark Kent in James Gunn’s new DC Cinematic Universe

The era of David Corenswet as the new superman DC has officially begun. James Gunn has already shared an image of the star looking like Clark Kent on his social networks, immediately becoming the focus of conversation.

Going to great lengths to take on the role of the Kryptonian, Corenswet impressed everyone with his dedication to his work. Until now, the actor already He has gained almost 20 kilos to stay true to his character, doing arduous training, as revealed by his coach Paolo Mascitti in an interview with GQ:

This is a James Gunn film and he has a specific vision for the project. David was already exercising intensely before he met him, but he’s naturally a skinny guy. He is 1.93 and we wanted to give him more volume. He probably went from 90 kilos to 108, but some of that mass will be lost as he continues to define his body

The personal trainer continues explaining the exercises that the actor has faced to bring Superman to life: “He’s very busy right now, so we only do three or four sessions a week, but he still trains two hours a day. We focus on exercises like push-ups, rows or bench presses. “We changed it up a little after a while, but we stayed focused on progressive overload to stimulate muscle growth, tracking reps and weight, trying to progress each week.”

Paolo Mascitti has also revealed how many calories do you consume per day to get that muscle for the mythical Superman suit:

He consumed about 6,000 calories a day and his diet was strict, but not as strict as I would have liked. Half of her training had to be done via FaceTime and the other half in person, since she wasn’t in Los Angeles the entire time. We were talking remotely and I was asking him about his diet.

This series seems much more fun and violent to me than ‘The Boys’: a fabulous chaos that will soon have season 2

Directed and written by Gunn, the new Superman film is scheduled for release in July 2025, serving as a fresh start to the new DC Cinematic Universe. The cast includes actors such as Rachel Brosnahan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Nicholas Hoult and Anthony Carrigan, among others.
