After having been the recognizable face of one of the greatest franchises of all time, Marvel Studios’ MCU, Scarlett Johansson is now tasked with directing the second theatrical revival of Jurassic Park, an assignment that she seems to have taken with good taste. as this is one of his favorite sagas.
This was stated by the actress in a recent interview with ComicBook where she does not reveal new details about what it will be about. this seventh movie of the dinosaur universe brought to the big screen by Steven Spielberg 30 years ago, but in which he does advance that fans of the first two films will feel comfortable:
“I love Jurassic Park, I’m a ‘nerd’ about this franchise. It’s one of the first movies I remember seeing in the cinema. I remember it like it was yesterday, it was life-changing. I can’t express how excited I am . (…) “The script is incredible. It’s by David Koepp. He has returned after about 30 years to write it. “He’s very passionate about it, which is amazing.”
Of course, it invites optimism to see Scarlett Johansson so happy to be able, as she also points out in the interview, to be devoured in this world of dinosaurs. Of course, we don’t think that’s the case and we trust that the actress is one of the stars of this new Jurassic Park trilogy for the next few years.
This Jurassic City, this name has not yet been confirmed, promises to take us back to another island inhabited by dinosaurs where adults and children have to find a way to get out of the place alive. We don’t know much more, but with David Koepp involved in the script, a return to the origins of the successful franchise is expected.

Gareth Edwards (The Creator, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) will be in charge of directing a film to be released in theaters on July 2, 2025. The cast also includes Jonathan Bailey, Manuel García-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Mahershala Ali, Luna Blaise, David Iacono and Audrina Miranda.
