Deadpool 3 has not been released yet and many people are asking for the Deadpool 4 movie. These are the words of director Shawn Levy.
In a few weeks we will be able to see it in theaters Deadpool 3 (Deadpool & Wolverine), a multiversal adventure that two of Marvel’s most beloved characters played by Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman will experience. But when director Shawn Levy was asked about the possibility of making the Deadpool 4 movie, he told DL:
“Normally I have to lie. I’m waiting for the questions when I have to lie and pretend I don’t know the answer, but this one I can honestly say I don’t know. But I can, at the same time, say: Man, this was the hardest and most exhausting thing I’ve ever done in my life. But it has also been the most rewarding from a creative point of view.”
“Because with Deadpool there are no rules. He is, in his very DNA, built on tonal boldness. So, for a filmmaker, what a delight. And doing it with my best friend Ryan, my other friend Hugh, the three of us have known each other for a long time, it was just great.”
“Because if you work with friends, you don’t mind making a fool of yourself. And if you’re working on something comedic, you better be willing to fall flat on your face.”
So, for now, Shawn Levy has no plans to make the Deadpool 4 movie. However, if the third one is a tremendous success, they may reunite for a new adventure.
What is Deadpool & Wolverine about?
The film will begin with Deadpool leaving his life as a hero to have a more normal job. However, the TVA will entrust him with the most important mission of all, since he will have to save the multiverse. Luckily, he will have the help of Wolverine and together they will have to defeat a powerful villain.
The cast includes Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams, Matthew Macfadyen, Kelly Hu, Brianna Hildebrand, Jason Flemyng, Shioli Kutsuna, Aaron Stanford, Lewis Tan and Stefan Kapicic. In addition, there will be many cameos that we can’t even imagine for now, but that will surely be shocking.
Deadpool & Wolverine will be released on July 26, 2024. While the Deadpool 4 movie is still a long way from becoming a reality. But it’s a good sign that they’re already thinking about it.
