The 28th edition of Salta Film Week is underway. Aimed at a wide audience, the proposals are varied: film premieres, retrospectives, workshops, masterclasses and the presence of important internationally renowned guests, including the filmmakers Laura Bari and Marcelo Piñeyro and the actor Rodrigo de la Serna.
The 28th edition of the Semana de Cine en Salta is underway. Aimed at a wide audience, there are a variety of proposals: film premieres, retrospectives, workshops, masterclasses and the presence of important guests of international renown, including directors Laura Bari and Marcelo Piñeyro and actor Rodrigo de la Serna.
The inaugural function took place yesterday, with the short film “Basura”, by Emmanuel Moscoso, winner of the short film competition of the IDEA 2023 plan, and the film “Las almas”, debut feature by Laura Basombrío and winner of the Astor Piazzolla Award for best direction at the 38th Mar del Plata International Film Festival.
And from today you can enjoy about 30 films in the auditorium of the Usina Cultural, España y Juramento; the Teatro de la Fundación, General Güemes 434, and the Cine Ópera, Urquiza 560. Tickets vary in type according to the spaces. Here, a guide to enjoy the best of cinema.

At 7 p.m., “Revolución, el cruce de los Andes” (Revolution, the Crossing of the Andes), starring Rodrigo de la Serna, will be screened at the Usina Cultural auditorium, with free admission until sold out. Also at 7 p.m., “Leyenda Feroz” (Ferocious Legend), a documentary about the impact of “Tango Feroz” by Denise Urfeig and Mariano Frigerio, at the Opera Cinema. General admission $3,000. At 9 p.m., “Primas” (Primas), by Laura Bari, at the Usina Cultural auditorium. Free. At 8 p.m., “El viento que arrasa” (The Wind That Sweeps Away) by Paula Hernández, at the Salta Foundation. General admission $1,000. At 9 p.m., “Tango Feroz: La leyenda de tanguito” (Tango Feroz: The Legend of Tanguito), by Marcelo Piñeyro, at the Opera Cinema. General admission $3,000.
