The actor is still not prepared to take on roles that demand a lot from him after his accident
The entire cast that has brought the Avengers to life will be forever marked by millions of people around the world and it is no wonder. The performers accompanied us for more than a decade with all kinds of adventures in the UCMand they have even come to form a pineapple.
This was acknowledged to Men’s Health by Jeremy Renner himself, who played the role of Hawkeye in numerous Marvel filmsAnd this is not a false attitude, since the actor has clarified that, after his accident, many of his colleagues were constantly worried about his health.
“Yes, it’s real, it’s not just for Instagram. We hate that shit,” says Renner, who was visited by Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd and Sam Rockwell during his convalescence in the hospital. Thus he has explained the brotherhood that unites them all:
“We have a group chat and we’ve had it for a long time. When you work with people, look, we all go through a culturally significant experience together. And there are divorces, marriages and babies – a lot of things happened in those 12 years.
In the movies, we look like we’re at a costume party, there are ridiculous props and we’re doing these ridiculous things, but it’s also beautiful because we’re all connected. There’s a brotherhood or whatever you want to call it. I call it love. I love them all. I’d rather go to jail with them. [Robert] Downey than doing something amazing alone. I’d rather have a car accident with [Chris] Evans”
For now, Renner’s condition is not optimal, and although he has returned to acting, he is clear that he cannot play roles that require a lot of him. His return is rumored for the second season of Hawkeye, although for now it is unknown if it will really happen.
