Date, place and ticket sales for the concert — Futuro Chile

The legendary Mercyful Fate announced their return to Chile, in what promises to be an overwhelming day with the best of heavy metal worldwide.

The unmissable event, which thousands of fans of the genre have waited for decades, will take place on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 9:00 p.m., at the Movistar Arena. And ticket sales will begin this Wednesday, November 22 at 11:00 a.m. at PuntoTicket.

It was on June 2, 2022, in Hannover, Germany, when the transcendental Danish group that has left an indelible mark on the genre for its unique sound, returned to play live after 23 years of absence.

Under the leadership of the charismatic King Diamond, one of the best metal vocalists in the world, Mercyful Fate returned to the scene with a powerful show that they will present in our country in April.

As part of this comeback, Mercyful Fate released a few weeks ago the reissue of their album “Melissa” in honor of their 40th anniversary. This album of seven songs marked an entire generation and is considered fundamental in their discography.

Since its inception in 1981, Mercyful Fate stood out for its dramatic and explicit lyrics dedicated to evil and the occult. Along with King Diamond’s amazing vocal range and extravagant appearance. After two albums, in 1985, the band broke up, but his leader gave way to his successful career as a soloist and as a founder of new groups.

In 1993, four of the five members reunited to record “In the Shadows.” And with such success that they made it seem like they had never stopped playing together. After four albums, in 1999, Mercyful Fate distanced themselves again to resume their power in 2022.

In this way and after 25 years, the influential heavy metal band returns to continue making history with its national fans.
