While the thousands of followers of system of a Down all over the world continue to dream of a new album from the band and of tours that will allow us to see those of them again. Serj Tankian live, attendees Sick New World Festival of Las Vegas They had the opportunity to experience a new release from the band almost a year after their last concert, this being also the second time in a row that SOAD has performed at the big event in Nevada.
Last Saturday, April 27System of a Down was headlining alongside Slipknot (with its renewed lineup) the Sick New World festival, in which we could once again enjoy the live sound of a group that does not delight us with a new job for almost two decades nowbut that maintains its eclectic and overwhelming sound and the fans’ hunger to enjoy the band.
“X” was the opening song of a concert in which, along with the great Armenian-American classics, such as “Prison Song”, “Chop Suey!” or “Aerials” among others, he highlighted that topics such as “Innervision” for the first time since 2019, “Bubbles” and “CUBERt”which had not been played live since 2015, or “Kill Rock ‘n’ Roll”which had not been played since 2017. The show ended in style with the devastating “Toxicity” and “Sugar”.
