Nikki Sixx shares the band that changed her life — Futuro Chile

Nikki Sixx is a rockstar of her time; But like every musician, he does not hesitate to be fanatical towards his own colleagues. Especially if it’s probably the band of his life.

In a new interview, the founder and bassist of Mötley Crüe was asked if there was something that pushed him to dedicate his life to music: “It was, without a doubt, Aerosmith,” he said.

«There is no other group that comes close to what touched my heart when I was 14 years old. And those first five albums, I don’t think anyone can touch them, in my opinion. “Those first five albums are like Zeppelin or Sabbath,” he told an American radio station (via Blabbermouth).

Sixx reveals that “I know all the lyrics, I know them so backwards and forwards that I almost consider myself a superfan of that material. And they are great guys. We’ve toured with them before. But old man, put rocks, and then play anyone else’s disk. And they say: I’m sorry. We shouldn’t have played that record«.

Nikki Sixx and her love for Aerosmith

It must be remembered that, in any case, this is not the first, nor will it surely be the last time that the Mötley Crüe symbol addresses his fanaticism towards the band led by Steven Tyler. Precisely about that work by Aerosmith, some time ago.

«That album captured it all for me. It was raw and dirty, but there was something about it that, especially as a kid, I couldn’t understand, because there were so many beats and overdubs. It’s such a well-made album, song-wise, and with the energy of the band… it’s an incredible album. Maybe it didn’t become a commercial monster like Permanent VacationBut when I was a teenager, Toys In The Attic and rocks “They were monsters.”

On the other hand, three years ago Nikki Sixx noted that when she received the group’s first album and listened to them, “it was like the amplifiers were spitting and sizzling.”

«I always return to that album as one of the most important, and obviously Dream On “This is, which is an outstanding performance in itself for a first album.”
