A new ray of hope arrives to shake the followers of Bon Joviwho have been dreaming of the return of Richie Sambora to the ranks of the New Jersey gang. Something that in recent months has seemed as imminent at first as it was impossible shortly after, and that now once again excites us with the words in which the guitarist assures that he will return if Jon Bon Jovi “recovers his voice”.

When the positions seemed to be far apart again after the disagreement shown by the guitarist about how he has been portrayed in the documentary “Thank You, Goodnight”, especially in regards to his departure from the band in 2013, it is Sambora himself who opens this window of hope for his return. During his recent participation in The Allison Hagendorf ShowRichie has left these words that show his willingness to return: “The fans would love it. It’s not about money. It has nothing to do with that. The world could use some good. But, like Jon said, he’s had problems with his voice. And now he had that operation with something plastic in his his larynx. And it’s uncertain at best. I don’t know if anyone has done it.

In his statements, Sambora makes it clear that recovering Jon’s voice will not be easy after the operation he had to undergo and reveals that he visited his old friend after undergoing surgery: “Physiologically, it doesn’t seem like it’s very possible. The brain has to teach this plastic thing to work. It’s almost like you have to relearn how to speak, in a way.” Despite everything, the guitarist is firm in case Jon can get back on the road: “I would definitely go. If he gets his voice back, I’ll go play.”

These words lead us to remember the approach that there was with Jon, ensuring that “the door will always be open” and Sambora commenting on his return which was “time to do it”. Adding to the whole equation we also have that, on Hagendorf’s show, the guitarist confessed that his recent new single, “I Pray”was intended for Bon Jovi: “I Pray was meant for Bon Jovi. It was going to be that kind of moment.” “It’s My Life”“.

At the end of April, Sambora resumed his solo path, beginning the publication of his new singles with “I Pray”which arrived a month after Bon Jovi announced the release of a new album, ‘Forever’.
