After their energetic show in 2022, The Drums returns to Argentina to present his latest studio album titled Johnny and review your hits next Friday, September 6 at the C Art Media Complex. Tickets will be available starting this Thursday, June 6 at 12 noon through Passline.
With an extensive history of more than 15 years and a catalog of five studio albums, the project led by Johnny Pierce remains as present as ever, surprising with its unmistakable style, characterized by guitars, reverbs, modular synthesizers and drum machines.
In his new studio album, the artist presents a work that explores healing from childhood traumas and the search for belonging. Through songs like “Protect Him Always” and “Little Jonny”, the artist reveals the most intimate part of him and the fragility of his bonds.
In 2022, Indie Hoy chatted with Pierce before his show at the Vorterix Theater and stated: “I love this town. Every time I come here it feels like a place I could live. It has the crazy energy of New York or Berlin, it has that chaos, but in a fun and stimulating way“.
The musician continued: “I love the energy and I love the people, that’s why it feels so good to be back. Whenever we play in Buenos Aires the fans are so loving, and for me it is very important to be able to feel that on stage.”
