Although we have to take this news with a grain of salt and treat it as rumor, according to Jeff Sneider, Sam Mendes would have already found his four Beatles: Barry Keoghan, Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson and Charlie Rowe.

Let us remember that, as we already told you in February, Mendes is preparing four films about the legendary British band, each starring one of its members and telling the story from their point of view.

The filmmaker would have already acquired the rights to the songs, at least by Lennon and Harrison’s relatives, who agreed after reading the scripts. It appears to be the first time that Apple Corps Ltd. and the (living) members of the Beatles fully agree and grant the rights to their biographies and songs to a fictional film.

‘Saltburn’ (Prime Video)

The cast

If the rumors are true, Dickinson (‘The Iron Clan’) will play John Lennon, Mescal (‘Gladiator 2’) to Paul McCartneyKeoghan (‘Saltburn’) to Ringo Starr and Rowe (‘Rocketman’) to George Harrison.

Sony Pictures is in charge of production and the films should begin filming in 2025 for its premieres in 2027. The production will be carried out by Mendes himself, along with Pippa Harris and Julie Pastor of Neal Street Productions, and Jeff Jones of Apple Corps Limited.
