Everything in this life is relative. If there are musicians who think they spend too much time on the road, to others the time spent seems not enough. A few weeks ago, the vocalist and guitarist Metallica’s James Hetfield confessed to self-doubt and anxiety in the face of the present world journey, but his companion on the six strings, Kirk Hammettthink, on the contrary, that they do not rotate “enough”. Different perspectives on the same issue.

During an intervention in the episode 45 of The Metallica Reportthe podcast that offers weekly news regarding the universe of men in black, Hammett He spoke about what it meant for him to return to the road after a six-month break.

These were his words: “I’m happy to be here and bring music to people, man, as always. And I’m happy to have the feeling that Metallica is a hard-working, touring band, because sometimes I miss that feeling, I don’t think we tour enough. But that’s how things are. So whatever I can get out of this, I’m always up for it. It’s like, “Yeah, go ahead.” Because this is what it’s all about, playing guitar and composing, recording, going on tour. That’s what it’s about. And I don’t feel like there’s enough of that in my life right now.”.

On whether the current tour seems like a completely new thing “M72”with two nights with different repertoire in each city, the ax said the following: “No, it doesn’t seem like something totally new. In Munich, Germany, going on stage for the first time in about six months, it felt like a continuation. It’s all very familiar to me, familiar stage, familiar monitors, familiar screens, familiar equipment, familiar faces, familiar guitars, familiar songs. It is very easy for me to find myself in my place”.

Kirk Hammett and the rest of their companions will be completely in their element next July, with the two nights scheduled in Madrid on the tour ‘M72’. With the tickets for both nights already sold outthe next notice arrived for the day of friday the 12th which will have the participation of Architects and Mammoth WVH as opening acts, whose tickets are also close to being sold out definitively. Something that will not be surprising to happen on a few dates also for the day of the sunday 14which will complete the actions of Five Finger Death Punch and Ice Nine Kills.

The album presentation ’72 Seasons’ in Madrid is going to become a milestone in the history of the city. The dwindling number of tickets left on sale are still available at LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.es.
