In fact, representative Camila Flores (RN) sees it as difficult for the project to be dispatched this week and regretted that “there was no unanimity to be able to vote for full dispatch on the draft rules for the use of forcedespite the fact that it is a very necessary project and that the truth is that all of Chile is probably focused on following this parliamentary provision”.
In turn, his peer, Diego Schalper (RN) pointed out that “It is incomprehensible that it is a government representative (Maite Orsini) who prevents us from processing this until it is completely dispatched.. It is not true that everything has been rejected, the general principles have been approved, but obviously there are indications that we do not agree with, we have rejected them.”
For its part, from the ruling party supported Deputy Orsini, arguing that it is a bill “delicate, with a lot of legislative technique” to remove it promptly, said Jaime de Araya (PPD).
“It is irresponsible to try to get out from one day to the next what has not been done in several months. That would be a sad sight and I am not going to be part of those deputies who have not done the work for months and at the last minute want to get something out. Normal things, people know, never turn out well and here what we need is to have rules for the use of force that work,” said the deputy.
