Villa Clara joins the International Archives Day

Preserving Historical Memory in its multiple variants is the main objective of the Villa Clara Historical Archive, which carries out actions within the framework of June 9, declared International Archives Day.

The proclamation was made in 2008 under the auspices of the International Council of Archives (ICA), and according to Patricia Betancourt Rodríguez, specialist in archival services at the AHP, the day aims to bring together university students and other teachings to available funds and services.

“It is about promoting the relics that we treasure and that are often unknown, at the same time that it could be a way to awaken the vocation for the study of the profession,” stressed Betancourt Rodríguez.
