ExpoCaribe, a fair to promote economic development

Santiago de Cuba, Jun 27 (ACN) The second day of the 19th ExpoCaribe 2024 International Fair in Santiago de Cuba promoted trade, foreign investment and the exchange of knowledge on topics of interest to countries in the region, such as transportation, food production, changes in the energy matrix and multi-destination tourism.

In the marquee of the Heredia Theater, located in this city, bilateral meetings were held between the different participating businessmen, with the aim of signing letters of intent and establishing interests in future contracts that contribute to the development of the main sectors of the Antillean island.

The day was also a good time for the launch of a tour of Cuba’s lighthouses, specifically the one in Santiago de Cuba, the one in Punta de Maisí, in Guantánamo, and the Roncali, located within the Guanahacabibes biosphere reserve.

This option of the GeoCuba business group in collaboration with the Canadian travel agency Desigm Travel is aimed at opening the doors of these infrastructures to national and foreign tourism, in order to create a new country product that allows people to learn about the characteristics of these constructions of vital importance for navigation.

With the purpose of highlighting the declaration of Santiago de Cuba as a creative city in music by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, Siboney Studios and the Recording and Musical Publishing Company presented the album by singer Zulema Iglesias, nominated for the 2024 Cubadisco Awards.

Likewise, Cuba Plus Magazine showed the potential of Guyana and the Antillean nation, especially the eastern zone, to promote the development of cultural, historical and nature tourism.

Recognized as the second commercial exchange in Cuba, this fair constitutes a natural setting for the exchange of the territory with the Caribbean and the world.
