The commemorative exposure of the painter Fernando Carpena Puche It has been inaugurated in the church of San Francisco. Under the title 100 years of paintingthis exhibition pays tribute to one of the most representative artists of Yecla in the twentieth century. The initiative, organized by the Real Superior Cabildo of Passionate Brotherhoodshas the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of Yecla.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until May 25date to which you can enjoy an important part of Carpena’s artistic legacy. The reason is the first centenary of the painter’s birth, which took place in the past April 23, 1924.
From apprentice in Madrid to Yecla portraitist
Fernando Carpena was born in Yecla in 1924 and from a young age he showed a special interest in art. He took his first steps from the painter’s hand Amelio Quiles Berengueralso Yeclano.
