This Friday, the IX edition of the Book Fair of Vallecas has begun, which is held on Peña Gorbea Boulevard until Sunday, May 25. The actor and rapper José Manuel Montilla ‘El Langui’ has been in charge of reading the opening proclamation of the Fair, accompanied by the Councilor for Puente de Vallecas, Ángel Niño, and representatives of the different municipal groups.
‘The Langui’ highlighted “the warrior soul and the living words” of the Vallecas neighborhood, which has said that “it is not only struggle, but also reads” and when you read “there is no system that stops us.” The actor has recovered one of Antonio Machado’s most famous poems, Walker there is no wayto remember the history of the district and the road, not always simple, that their neighbors have traveled.
-During the reading of the proclamation, the Seed-Rte artist has made an urban work of art to commemorate Europe’s Day, which is celebrated today, which has followed the show Lorca, popular and flamenco.
Niño has highlighted the projection of this book fair in the Madrid editorial field that “since its inception, has become a reference at the district level both for its prolonged calendar and its alternative cultural program, and for the number of authors who attend to sign their works and the large audience that visit it every year.”
To conclude the day, the Cheap Wisky Band has offered a tribute concert to Fito and Fitipaldis./
