Poetry will display its cultural and linguistic diversity in the XVIII International Poetry Festivalwhich will take place from this Friday, May 2 and will extend until Sunday 4 in the International Book Fair of Buenos Aires. This meeting, coordinated under the guidance of Jorge Fondebriderthis year pays tribute to figures such as the editor Carlos Pereiro And the poets Susana Cabuchi, Jorge Rivelli y Alejandro Schmidt.
For three days, the Adolfo Bioy Casares Room From the white pavilion it will be the scenario where voices of different latitudes will share their creative universes. The beginning of the festival, on Friday, will have a deployment of internationality in the voices of poets such as Ricardo Añez Montielfrom Venezuela, Graciela Aráoz y Silvia Camerottofrom Argentina, together with Lolita Campani Berettafrom Brazil, who will inaugurate the literary tour.
Later, the reading of Yuri Andrujovichof Ukraine, which will be bilingual, accompanied by the Argentines Pablo Caramelo y Laura Crespiin addition to the French Julie tirad. A table composed of Teresa Cabrerafrom Peru, Soledad Fariñafrom Chile, and Argentines Daniel frank membersg y Santiago Sylvesterstarting at 20:30.

Saturday 3 will be the epicenter of cultural exchange. The day will begin with readings in charge of Eduardo Ainbinder, Elena Annibalithe Slovena Jana Putlealso in bilingual format, and Red Daríofrom Argentina. Later, attendees will be able to listen to the interventions of Roxana Chrysologist (Peru), Juan Carlos Moses y Verónica Zondek (Chile).
The festival will close Sunday afternoon with the eighth and final reading table. There, poets from Ireland, Mexico and Peru will put the final touch to the event: Moya Cannonwith a bilingual reading, Fabio Morábita y Carmen Ollé –Premio House of Peruvian Literature 2015– will be responsible for saying goodbye to the cycle, letting resonate the strength of their words in those who come.

Before closing, Sunday will also include two other tables that promise poetic intensity. In the first, they will participate Florencia Fragaso, Nahuel Lardies, Catalina Torres y Santiago Venturini. And in LasEgunda, it will be the turn of figures such as Osvaldo Aguirre, Juan Desiderio, Daniel Durandall from Argentina, together with the Spanish Erika Martínez.
This meeting is confirmed as a space where poetry transcends borders and becomes the vehicle to celebrate memory, diversity and art of the word.
