A vehicle was burned and the structure of a garage collapsed after a fire recorded on beaches of Tijuana. The fire, which also caused partial damage to another car, would have started in a truck parked inside the house.
The incident occurred on Peñón Avenue, near its crossing with Tornado Avenue. Upon receiving the report of a house in flame, two fire stations with nine elements went to the place.
According to Arturo Sánchez, fire supervisor, they managed to prevent the flames from extending to other areas of housing or neighboring properties.
Neighbors of the place mentioned having heard what seemed to be an explosion moments before the fire, although this version has not been officially confirmed.
Although there were no injuries for burns, Red Cross paramedics served two people: one for nervous breakdown and another due to hypertension.
The destroyed vehicle was identified as a Ford Explorer truck, while another car inside the property suffered minor damage. The causes of the incident remain under investigation.
